Good evening everyone hope your all having a lovely day! Just a shame about the weather we’re having! The same amount of rain we normally get in a month in one day!!! Absolutely glorious! Fingers crossed for a proper summer soon!
Any way I thought it was high time I get caught up with some of my book reviews I’ve got many many to pop on here over the next week, don’t worry I won’t bombard you all at once with the lots of blogs to read!
I like to keep my books reviews fairly short and too the point. Personally when I’m looking for a new books that’s all I want to see. I hope that some of my reviews will inspire you to head to your nearest book shop and dive head first into a magical world of mystery.
Somebody’s going to be murdered at the ball tonight. It won’t appear to be murder and so the murderer won’t be caught. Rectify that injustice and I’ll show you the way out.
It’s meant to be a celebration but it ends in tragedy. As fireworks explode overhead, Evelyn Hardcastle, the young and beautiful daughter of the house, is killed. But Evelyn did not just die once.
Until Aiden – one of the guests summoned to Blackheath fir the party – can solve her murder, the day will repeat itself over and over again. Every time ending with the fateful pistol shot.
The only way to break this cycle is to identify the killer. But each time the day begins, Aiden wakes in the body of a different guest. And someone is determined to prevent him ever escaping Blackheath…..
I was very lucky to receive this book as a gift but it’s one that had been on my wish list for a while. The idea of a mystery story within a mystery story really caught my attention. When I finally got myself snuggled down to read I was hooked by the first page. It’s such a clever and original novel.
The mystery grabbed my attention from the start until the end with so many interesting characters filling the pages. It’s mind blowingly clever and had me guessing till the very end. The twists and turns in these pages are highly original and completely worthy of 5*.
Even if your a master at solving puzzles I think you’ll struggle to figure out the ending. I certainly didn’t see that one coming. I don’t want to say much more about the plot without giving anything away but Stuart Turton has done an amazing job and I can’t wait to see what he does next.
Have you read this yet??? Let me know what you think!
Hope you all have a fabulous week and let me know if there are any books you think I should read next.
